Originally, this blog was to be about employment; finding it, keeping it, thriving at it. In fact, the first few posts are all about just that, employmet. That was three months ago, and quite a bit has happened (to me and this blog) in the interim. Mainly, after writing those first few posts I realized I had no business telling other people what they needed to do to find, keep and (possilby) enjoy work. In short, I was simply mouthing the words of others with no clear idea of how to actually make all the crap I was puking out work. So I quit. Then a few things happened in my life which allowed me to see this blog in a different light.
Walking The Cat is a blog about Life. Not just work. There’s more to Life than work, a helluva lot more. That’s what I’m going to be writing about. Most of these writings will be colored by my own experience and I’m not going to attempt make that relevant to your life, after all this is my blog and what I write (and write about) will be, first and foremost, relevant to me. If you want to walk along with me, please feel free to do so, if not, that’s fine, too. If you’ve ever tried to walk a cat, you know it’s not an easy process. Cats are fairly independent creatures, inclined to go “where they will” without thought to anything other than satisfying their own farflung curiosity. Remember that if you decide to drop by. . .one never knows where you’re likely to end up.
